Cyril Smyth, was in public relations in Coca Cola Northern Ireland before beginning an eleven year career in front of camera broadcasting in Television and Radio  in Ireland.....the first six years as a presenter in ITV in the north and seven years as newscaster in RTE, Ireland's national television station. This meant anchoring the six and nine evening news programmes.

The nineties were spent as a media consultant in London  training senior executives in such companies as PowerGen and British Gas to understand and   cope with the disciplines of radio and television . During that time He was invited to lecture in media studies at the City of Westminster College.

The Diploma level three City and Guilds media techniques (7500) is an excellent vocational course which he has brought to the coast, opening a new media college in the Aztec Country club complex for students seeking a career in the media industry.
